Speed boats on the Green River... I mean SPEED...

It's a one-seater boat with a Chevelle engine. A big block 350 Chevy engine with horse power from 320 to 400 hp. The boat is fitted with a direct drive 'impeller' that draws water through a duct from the bottom of the boat and ejects the water turbine style out the back in dramatic fashion... I was invited to drive it. "This summer is wrapped up... the boat is put away so if your around next year."

I had a thing for British cars, when I could afford a car that didn't run all the time: 1970 MGB-GT.
It was fitted with a 1798 cc [109 cubic inch] engine, with at most a 90 horse power trani... I was enraptured with the way it handled. The feel of a British cockpit and a low center of gravity that took me to the uninteresting places of daily life in my leather interior and with my Altech Lansing three-way speakers and my Pioneer stereo cassette player...

The guy that owns the boat likes to drink Jim Beam, a straight ahead bourbon whiskey that isn't altogether the greatest whiskey, but is exactly what it is. Beam is made to consistent, exacting quality. It is traditional, is not stuffy and does the job at very reasonable cost. He likes Bud Light.

I like a good rye or a single malt scotch. I prefer a darker, fuller-bodied beer.

New to Blog, blot, blot, blot...

Western Kentucky Coffee. Does it exist?
Is there a demand for what is almost taken for granted in urban areas across the world? or,
Is this here just a Bud Light world?
